Not everyone can or wants to participate only through a digital platform. Connectivity, time, language, confidence, access to devices, digital fatigue, or previous negative experiences online can all make participation harder.
This proposal space invites you to suggest low-tech or analogue supports that would make the process easier, safer, and more inclusive.
These could include simple summaries by email or messaging apps, printable materials, longer participation windows, offline activities, one-to-one support, or easy ways to ask questions and flag issues.
Instructions to participate
Submit a proposal for one low-tech support, allowance, or function that would help people participate in this process.
Your proposal can respond to questions such as:
What low-tech option would help?
Who would it support?
How would it work in practice?
What information or materials would be needed?
How could it connect back to Decidim so everyone stays informed?
How could this support be reviewed or adapted as needs change?
Examples of proposals could include:
A weekly “what happened / what’s next” summary.
Printable or downloadable process materials.
Longer deadlines for comments and proposals.
Participation by email, WhatsApp, Signal, SMS, or paper.
A trusted contact person for questions or support.
Short check-ins to identify accessibility or safety issues.
Offline group discussions whose results are later uploaded to Decidim.
Now, the Instructions:
On the left column of the platform, you’ll see a section called “New proposal”.
Once you click on it, a template will appear. Below you’ll find its fields. Follow the guidance we’ve provided and use the resources above to help you complete your proposal. When you’re done, save it. Once saved, your proposal will be published on the platform so other course participants can comment on it.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: After creating your proposal, you’ll be able to upload attachments to enrich your proposal.
