One concrete way to approach the platform is by treating it not only as a space for participation, but as an ongoing record of how the process unfolds. A process log documents not only what was decided, but how and why decisions evolved over time. Using a process log might look like this:

  • Create a dedicated “Process Log” space; this could be a blog or a page. This page or space should document design decisions, changes to ground rules, and key changes or adaptations from each phase.

  • Attach artefacts to each entry. Link relevant materials, such as posters, maps, letters, or evaluation notes, to specific decisions or moments in the process. This helps future participants and organisers understand the context.

A participatory platform should not be treated only as a space for discussion, but also as a living archive of participation, claim and decision-making. This archival layer is especially important for marginalised communities whose contributions are often overlooked, unheard, or erased. By maintaining a transparent and well-structured process log, organisers can strengthen both accessibility and advocacy.
