Alghero, like many other places in the world, is trying to find solutions to fight climate change. One of the main ideas is to use more clean energy—like wind and solar power—instead of polluting fuels. But not everyone agrees on how to do it.

This is the big question:
Can we fight climate change and still protect our landscapes, animals, and traditions?

Let’s look at two different points of view.

🔋 Position 1: “We need green energy—now.”
Some people think we need to act fast to stop climate change. They believe building windmills and solar panels is the best way to protect the planet.
For them, Alghero must do its part. Every year we wait, things get worse: more fires, more drought, more problems for young people like you.
They say: if we don’t act now, we won’t have a future to protect. ⏳🌍

🚨 Position 2: “Yes to green energy—but not everywhere.”
Others agree that we need to fight climate change—but they worry that big energy projects are being built too fast and without asking local people what they think.
They’re afraid that windmills and solar plants could damage our beautiful landscapes, harm animals, or destroy places that are part of our culture and history.
They say: let’s slow down, include local voices, and make sure we protect nature and traditions too. 🐦🏞️🏛️

Both sides care about the future.
One wants to move quickly, the other wants to be careful. One thinks globally 🌐, the other thinks locally 🏘️. Both want what’s best.
