Tracking impact in safer participatory spaces requires attention to capabilities, relationships, and institutional pathways, not only outputs. In the West Midlands case, the policy tracker enabled continued monitoring of commitments and served as a bridge between participatory moments and longer-term implementation. Facilitators can adapt this approach by:
defining key dimensions of change (e.g. voice, relationships, care, institutional access, policy implementation)
agreeing indicators and documentation methods with participants
revisiting these regularly to assess progress and identify next steps
