- Refugees Welcome? by Hayfaa Chalabi is an illustrative project that explores structural apathy towards refugees in Sweden. It examines the relationship between governmental institutions, socio-political discourse, media and refugees. With the aim of studying the complex relationship between refugees and the Swedish society, it is a documentation and narration of Sweden’s contemporary history and the nation’s way of dealing with the so called ‘global refugee crisis’.
